Dickvanveen has (re)joined the Dutch Cycling Embassy. This network collective of public and private organisations from the Netherlands who wish to share their expertise on building what supports the Dutch cycling culture to those interested. In the past 10 years I have coached design charettes and ‘Thinkbike’ workshops all over Europe and North-America. Or I toured a delegation of civil servants, mayors or architects around a Dutch citie, showing them the ins and outs of good bicycle design. Sharing this knowledge makes me feel good; together we are making the world a tiny bit less car-dependant. 

Last week started out well; I got to tour around a delegation of Hungary mayors and civil servants, showing them the best Amsterdam had to offer in dedicated bicycle design. It was a lot of fun sharing these insights!
